Power usage forecast for Home Assistant
This is a helper sensor for Home assistant that will create a forecast of your power usage for the next 1-3 days based on you previous power usage.
You specify how many days back in time you want to use for the forecast. If you have enough past data, the weekday will be used - so you get a forecast using the same weekday. The forecast is pr. hour.
The Home Assistant integration can be found here on github

Background
I got solar cells and a hybrid inverter with a battery. To have a forecast of the power usage, this is one of the steps in being able to make a plan for if/when the batteri should be charged.
Initially i tried making this using the Home assistant SQL sensor. It works, but is not optimal for several reasons. The SQL sensor query is done with a fixed interval - that currently can not be set for each sensor - only global. The forecast query only have to run once each hour or day, and can be slow if you use a longer period back in time.
More to come
This helper sensor it the first step in making a charge plan for the solar battery. A battery forecast will come later.
